Right after the second World War the United Kingdom evolved into an immigration country. The topic was really contetious in public and politics and even parties like the United Kingdom Independence Party gained Votes with an attitude against immigrants.

Development & reasons

In the postwar years

After the second Worl War the UK needed more workmen because of the high wealth, so most of the new workers came from the colonies. The immigrants had better immigration requirements than other, mainly because of the british citizenship law. Both benefited, the immigrants and the british citizens.
