Chapter 1

In the first chapter of the novel is about Cathy. Cathy comes to a new school. The Portland High. She had often changed the school. On the first day at the new school she feels nervosly. Bevor she goes to the new class and answers question she talked with her new teacher. At the break a boy comes to her. The boy is call Jamie Hanson and he write for the school newspaper. He wants to do an interview with her. She agrees. At the end of the school lessons he asks her many questions. The most questions were about her hobbies. Then he asks her if she want(s) to work for the newspaper too and she would but she is very busy. She wants to work with Jamie and she (also) wants to know him better.

chapter 2

Dear diary, My day was so peculiar ( merkwürdig). I standed in the corridor after the bell rang ad suddenly there was a boy. The boy scared my because he was so strange. He looked so frighten (Angst einflößend). He said something about a list and a group but I don‘t know anything about this. He pushed me against the lockers an came closer to me. I felt only fright (Angst). It was so terrible! He tried to intimidate(einschüchtern) me. And yes, I was really intimidating. He wanted me to pay every week 5 $. Then I paid the 5$. I tried to kicked him but he had a protective. I can‘t escape (entkommen) of him. He said something about my brother therewith I will paid every week. I was afraid but I agreed. Then he went with his scary friends away. The friends standed the whole time next to us. They weared strange clothing. I was relieved that they went away. And I will pay the money because I love my little brother so much. Nothing shall (soll) happen with him. I wish it was a dream but it is reality. And I don‘t know whether (ob) I shall tell my parents what happened. Wish me luck!

Chapter 3

The third chapter is about Cathy and her Family. Cathy sits in the schoolbus for home. She thinks about the situation at school. Many people look at her because she looks like a zombie. When she is at home she talks with her little brother Mike. They talk about there first schoolday. But Cathy didn‘t tell him abot the strange situation at the coridoor. Then her brother go out to play basketball. Cathy thinks about, if she tells her mum about it or not. She didn‘t know. After two hours her mum comes at home. They two talk about the school and job but Cathy didn‘t tell

Chapter 5

The fifth chapter of the Novell is about Cathy and Dr. Callahan. At school Cathy is called by the secretary. Dr. Callahan is a teacher at her school. He talks a Lot with her and asks her many questions. He smiles every time. But Cathy notices that something strange. She thinks that Dr. Callahan isn't so happy and because of this she doesn't tell ihm about the snakeman and his gang.

Chapter 6

The sixth chapter is about Cathy and Mr. Black. Cathy goes to hin because she wants to check if he knows something about the snakeman and his gang. She doesn't ask hin direct (?) because she knows that the friends of the snakeman could be there. She tells him that her nacless was stolen. He wants to help her. And than Cathy crossed the list of those she could trust.
