Political Parties and Politicans
In the first half of the 19th Century the two "parties" Whig and Tory were the dominating parties in the british politics. But these were rather like lobbies, alliances or individuals.
Later the Whigs became the Liberal Party and the Tories the Conservative Party. The two parties remained the dominating political parties untill the Liberal Party lost importance and members. The new Labour Party took the place as the main opponent. It is a labour party consisting of an alliance with labor union and socialistic groups.
Today the Labour Party and Conservative Party are still the leading parties. The from theLiberal Party reascended Liberal Democrats established again with a percantage of 20%.
