school day	starts at 8:10 AM & ends at 3:17 PM 8 periods of 48 minutes years/grades 9 to 12 roll-call (2x a day)	starts at 7:40 AM & ends at 3:25 PM up to 9 periods of 45 minutes years/grades 5-12, G9: 5-13 (soon) the first teacher of the day checks the attendance of students
lunch	11:30 – 12:45 = different grades have different times	12:50 – 13:55; sometimes grades just have 30 minutes
subjects	regular assignments (mustn’t be failed) language, writing, literature, science, social studies elective: P.E., Spanish or building	class tests (usually 6) math, English, German, religion, French/Latin, art, geography, P.E., politics, history, chemistry & music elective: human biology, special chemistry, business English or computer sciences
