c) What happens to the squirrel?
The squirrel is killed by three boys with a BB gun.
d) Explain why Josh is a brave and cool kid in the second half of the chapter.
Josh is a brave and cool kid because he doesn’t run away when the boys point the gun at him and because Josh talks to them calmly and softly.
