The Notting Hill Carnival Parade

p. 25 no. 2a

“The man helps me to find my parents. He said to Ray that he held my parents and that my parents had to come over the loudspeaker, because I´m waiting for them.” says Emily.

And then her parents come and say: "Emily! There you are! Emily, we go home! We won´t lose you the second time.” Mo says unhappily: "NO! We want to see the Notting Hill Carnival Parade together!”

Emily says the same. Mr Evans answers: "OK, we stay for 30 minutes, but then we really have to go home, because it´s 17:30 and we want to eat in a restaurant and we have already reserved.”

The three friends dance and sing in the next 30 minutes.

Emily: This man helps me to find my parents.

Luke: Oh, you didn´t find your parents?

Emily: NO!

Luke: We can help you to find them.

Emily: Thank you!

Mo: First, we look out from the bus and then we go into the parade...

Emily: Ok!

Out of the bus, Mo, Emily and Luke look for Emily's parents but they can´t find them.

Emily: What can we do?

Luke: We can go to the food stall.

The kids go to the food stall and find Emily's parents

Emily: Mum, Dad!

She gives them a hug

Emily: I´m so happy!

Mum: Hi Emily!

Mum: Hi Luke and Mo!

Emily: Come, we eat chips and then we go back to the hotel, ok?

Mum: Ok, but we eat with the boys.

Emily: Yes, yes...
