Chapter 1:

Chapter one of the book "Snakeman", written by Paul Davenport, introduced the main character Cathy. Cathy has gone to 3 different schools in 5 years.The chapter is about her first day at the Portland High School. Cathys first day at the Portland High School was very well.She likes her new school.The school newspaper wanted an interview with cathy.Cathy likes the most of her teachers. Cathy likes the most of her teachers but she dont like her math teacher.

Chapter 2

In the second chapter, Cathy meets the Snakeman for the first time when she is at her locker. The Snakeman requires her to pay 5 Euros a month. First, Cathy tells him that she does not want to pay him the 5 euros but later as the Snakeman threatened that he would do something to her brother got her fear and paid him the

Chapter 3:

In Chapter 3 Cathy came with a bad feeling from the school and told her brother how it is in the new school. She said that she does not feel very comfortable at her school. She would be well with most teachers but would come with a few teachers They also problems. In addition, she had a problem with the "Snakeman" but from him she told her brother nothing. Her mom also told her nothing about her problems at school because she just got a new job and Cathy did not want her mother to be unconcentrated.

Chapter 4:

Cathy decides to give the Snakeman no resistance in Chapter 4 and give him the money. Later, however, he demanded the chain Cathy had received from her mother. She gave in to the chain but took a new plan to do something against the Snakeman. She asked her girlfriends for advice and they thought about a plan.

Chapter 5

In chapter 5 Cathy talked to the boss about her start in the new school she also pointed to her problem with the Snakeman but she gave the boss no exact information. When she left the office of Dr. Callahan she had the feeling that she was With it can not talk about their problem.

Chapter 6

In Chapter 6, Cathy makes a list of people they trust and do not trust them. Mr. Black is on the list of the people they trust. So she goes to him and tells him that her necklace has been stolen but she does not want to tell him about the Snakeman. But Mr. Black does not believe it at his school thieves gives. After the conversation, Cathy sweeps him off the list and is very deceived by him.

Chapter 7

In the seventh chapter, cathy tells her mother about her problem with the snakeman. When the mother hears she is very worried. Then Cathy tells her that she has a plan how she wants to go against the Snakeman. The mother says to Cathy that she is not supposed to inform the police and try to proceed with her own plan against the Snakeman.

Chapter 8

In the 8th chapter, Cathy works on her list and sees the number of people she can trust increases. Meanwhile, Cathy is also writing for the student newspaper. As Jamie learns the Cathy has never been canoeing, he invites her to a canoe trip. They have a lot of fun during canoeing. The friendship of Jamie and Cathy is enhanced by the Kanutour much better than before. At the end of the canutour kisses Jamie Cathy.

Chapter 9

In this chapter, the Snakeman is nicer to Cathy than before. He asks her what she thinks of a dragon tattoo. He would also like to take her along on his Harley Davidson. But Cathy did not want to do anything with the Snakeman and said as an excuse that she should ask her mother if that was okay. The Snakeman said he would wait until next week for an answer.

Chapter 10

In the tenth chapter, Cathy dreams of traveling with the Snakeman. She dreams that she will drive to a mountain outside the city. Then the Snakeman shows her the city and the Portland High school. Then he tries to force her to kiss her. Then Cathy runs away quickly. But the Snakeman is faster than her and pursues her.

Chapter 11

In chapter number 11 Cathy asks Jamie if he could stay a few minutes and help her with a report she is writing. She tells him all about the problems with the Snakeman. When she tells him that she wants to publish an article in the school magazine, Jamie explains her the problem he sees: The Beacon, the school magazine, doesn't come out until two weeks , the beginning of next month.

Chapter 12

In chapter 12, Jamie and Cathy meet with Ms Southerland to persuade her that she is allowed to publish the article Cathy about the Snakeman in the school magazine. She wants to inform the whole school about the Snakeman with the article. Later, Cathy becomes very angry and.

Chapter 13

In this chapter, Cathy meets with a friend in a cafeteria and tells him about the Snakeman. She tells him that the Snakeman has robbed her and she also told him about the conversation with Mrs. Southerland

Chapter 14

In chapter 14 Jamie has already spoken with Ms. Southerland about Cathy’s article about the Snakeman. But the faculty advisor said that she couldn't publish it. When Jamie tells it to Cathy she’s angry and sad. Jamie says they could publish a special edition of the Beacon but without Ms. Southerland’s permission. Cathy is happy about Jamie’s reaction. They know that it’s a big risk but they think that they have to fight against the Snakeman.

Chapter 15

Chapter 15 starts with a secret meeting in the room of "the Beacon", in which 12 people take part. They come one by one, so nobody can see that there is a meeting. The first half of the group are members of the "Beacon", the other half are members of sport teams and have to work as bodyguards for the others. When everybody is there, Jamie explains the plan Cathy and he have made. When he has finished his explanation the team leaves the room one by one.

Chapter 16

The last but one chapter of the book deals with a conversation in the principal's office. Dr. Callahan and Ms Southerland are very strict with the two teenagers. Mr. Callahan is shouting very loudly when they are interrupted by a phone call of the Mayor.

Chapter 17

In Chapter 17, the Snakeman dies because he has a group of people who go against him at the end of the chapter, they have a party and Cathy was glad that she does not have to suffer from Snakeman
