Chapter 1:

In the first chapter of the book „Snakeman“ you meet Cathy. She has changed the school for her third time so everything is new for her. She acts the good girl first because she doesn´t want to be an outsider. She got introduced by her teacher well after she answered a few questions about herself. The new school is called Portland High school. After her first lessons in school she makes an interview with a classmate (Jamie Hanson) for the school- newspaper. They talk abouth her school history and her hobbies. She finish the interview in the cafeteria after Biology.

Chapter 2:

After school Cathy walks to her locker. She searches it but after a while she found it. She puts out her jacket. As she turns around she see a big and thin man (boy) and two other guys. The man has a face like a snake (du hättst es genauer erklären können). The Snakeman says that Cathy is in his club. Cathy doesn´t know about any club like this. The Snakeman explained to her that they have to meet once a week and she has to pay 5 dollars. Cathy got naughty and the Snakeman pull her around. Everything on Cathy hurts but she doesn´t want to pay. As the Snakeman says something about Mike, her little brother, she pays without resistance.

Chapter 3:

After School Cathy takes the bus to get home. She thinks about what happened a few minutes ago. After coming home her brother asked her about Cathy’s first day at the new school. Cathy doesn´t wants to worry her family so she lies. She talks a little longer with Mike. Mike is in the park to play basketball. So Cathy thinks about telling her mum what happened. But she wants to wait. After two hours of thinking she has a plan to deal with the Snakeman.

Wieder zu oberflächig b.z.w du gehst auf unwichtige Themen ein.

Chapter 4:

After a few weeks with paying the money Cathy realize something weird. The Snakeman keeps staring on her necklace. The Snakeman wants that a friend check the necklace if it´s fake or not. Cathy doesn´t want to give her necklace away so she says no. The Snakeman doesn´t care about that. After he has the necklace Cathy walked home. She feels bad and she doesn´t want to pay the money. After a while the phone rings it´s Jamie and he wants her to join the newspaper. Later Cathy wants to make a try out basis. She only thinks about the Snakeman. After a while she knows her next step against the Snakeman. She needs good and confidential friends.

Du gehst zu wenig auf die Themen ein.

Chapter5:

Chapter 5 is about Cathy’s meeting with the principal of the school. Cathy wants to know how high the people of Snakeman are. She takes a little thought on her principal Dr. Callahan., because they´ll have a meeting in a few minutes but before she has to listen to an adoption of Dr. Callahan. After that Cathy goes to the meeting. The principal is friendly, he talks a lot. All the time they had small talk but something is wrong. She can´t trust him and Cathy doesn´t want to talk with Dr. Callahan about her problem with the Snakeman.

Chapter 6:

Chapter 6 is about Cathy who wants to find a person she can trust. Cathy look for some of them for a few days. She makes a list with people she cans trust, she doesn´t have to trust and she better never trust. The first one at the list Cathy can trust is Mr. Black. She talked about an unimportant problem. She realizes that he doesn´t show much interest. She tries it with a more important thing but Mr. Black acts weird. After she leaves the room she crosses the name of Mr. Black out.

Chapter 7.

In chapter 7 Cathy talks with her mum. She talks about all her problems with the Snakeman. Her mum is shocked. She wants to inform the principal or another teacher but Cathy explained, the Snakeman has very high people in his gang. They think about telling Mike, her brother about the situation, but they decide to let him out. Cathy tells her mother the plan. Her mother accept that, but she promise to help if something goes wrong.

Chapter 8.

In chapter 8 Jamie ask Cathy for a tri. He want to canoeing. Cathy is very happy about that because she likes him. They meet next to a river. Jamie explain Cathy how to paddle. After a while he says she´s a natural talent. Suddenly a lightning appears and clouds darken the sky. The canoe turns around and Cathy and Jamie fall into the river but they had live jackets. They are able to turn the canoe back and get on it. After that Jamie fished some fish so they can eat grilled fish. Soon Cathy starts ticking Jamie. She run away but Jamie wants revanche. Ta the end of the day they kiss each other. She writes a diary entry about the whole story with Jamie on this day.

Chapter 9

Cathy notice something weird. The Snakeman wants her to see his tattoo of a dragon. First Cathy doesn´t want to see it but the Snakeman doesn´t care. He takes out his shirt. The dragon looks dangerously Cathy thinks. After that he says Cathy should have a tattoo too. Cathy says she thought of but not now. Later he asks, if Cathy ever drive on a chopper. She lies but the Snakeman realizes it. However he ask Cathy, if she want to drive with him. Cathy lies again and says, she has to ask her mother. At home she thinks, the Snakeman wants her as his girlfriend. She´s entertained and scared about it

Chapter 10

Chapter 10 is about a dream of Cathy. She dreams about her and the Snakeman. The Snakeman is on a ride on his chopper with her. They stop on a mountain. As Cathy can see clearly she sees Dr. Callahan and Mr. Black. Snakemann wants her to kiss him. She tries to run away but the Snakeman hold on her. Suddenly she wakes up because her mother stands next to her. Her mum asks why she´s crying. Cathy answer, she had a bad dream.

Chapter 11

In Chapter 11 Cathy tells Jamie about her and the Snakeman. She explains him her plan to defeat the Snakeman. She searches teacher and students who will help Cathy against the Snakeman. She wants to find this people so she write an article about it in The Bacon, the school newspaper. But it has to be released before next week so they induce Mrs. Southerland to bring the school newspaper before the next week.

Chapter 12

In Chapter 12 Cathy talks with Jamie and Ms. Southerland. Cathy wants to bring the Snakeman and his doings in the School- Newspaper but Jamie and Ms. Southerland reacted a bit weird. They won´t bring the Newspaper with this Theme because she has no proof against the Snakeman. Jamie says they don´t know how the parents react. Cathy gets very angry. The short meeting ended with an argument between Cathy Jamie and Ms. Southerland.

Chapter 13

In Chapter 13 Cathy and Ophir eat Pizza after Jamie arrives he wants to talk with Cathy but alone. Cathy shoes her new tattoo. It´s a dragon. Jamie gets a shock and a bad feeling about Cathy. They have short discussion then Jamie asks Cathy if they can be together again. Cathy demand Jamie has to go to Ms. Southerland and print the story about the Snakeman. After a while Cathy shows Jamie the tattoo is fake. She explained Jamie the real name of the Snakeman Gordon Backer.

Chapter 14

In chapter 14 Jamie asked Ms. Southerland about the article in the School- Newspaper. Jamie tells Cathy Ms. Southerland said no and she fired him. He promises he will bring a special edition about the Snakeman without a permission of Ms. Southerland. Cathy explains him the risks but Jamie doesn´t care Cathy is very happy about that.

Chapter 15

In chapter 15 Jamie and Cathy have a meeting with 12 pupils. They are staff member of the School- Newspaper and bodyguards. All these guys are on the list Cathy can trust. The bodyguards are athletes. Jamie explains the importance of this article about the Snakeman. Suddenly they see a truck they become two packages. When the bell rings thy try to sell the special edition of the Beacon from Jamie. After a while the Newspaper is sold out. Later Jamie and Cathy have to go in principal`s office.

Chapter 16

In chapter 16 Jamie and Cathy are in principal`s office. Dr. Callahan speaks with them. Cathy wants to explain the situation but Ms. Southerland forbids her to speak. Suddenly a phone call interrupt their conversation. After the call, Dr. Callahan and Ms. Southerland explain their situation. Jamie and Cathy understand and forgive them. The Mayor, who interrupt the conversation, wants to make a conference. They have to practice their speech, otherwise they can get in trouble.

Chapter 17

In Chapter 17, the last one, the Snakeman left the town because the story in the special edition of The Beacon. Cathy and Jamie wants to talk about their fears. They found a group where everyone can talk about their fears. All of them overcome their biggest fears but Cathy not. She thinks the Snakeman will take revanche. At the last meeting of the group, Ophir and Jamie show Cathy an article in the real newspaper. They write about the dead of the Snakeman. He died in a gunfight. Cathy is shocked but after a while she is so happy that she runs to her mum and gets a big hug.
