Chapter: 1

In the first chapter of the novel, there is a girl, her name is Cathy, who is new at the Portland High school. She has changed the school three times in the last four or five years. The homeroom teacher introduces Cathy to the new class. Cathy fears that she will be an outsider like a part of the other classmates. In the lunch hour, a boy (Jamie Hanson) talks to her. He says, that he comes from the school magazine and he wants to interview her. He asks her many questions like if she has hobby’s. After the lunch hour, Jamie has enough material for the article. Cathy thinks, how nice it is to works with Jamie. That’s the end of the first chapter.

Chapter 2:

In the second Chapter of the novel, Cathy was in the school. She went through a corridor to take her things out of her spin. Suddenly, a boy was standing behind her. He came with two other boys. He says that she is on a list from a club. He scared her. She will have respect from him. He said that she will pay 5 dollars every week. He threatened her little brother Mike. Cathy is shocked about this situation and don’t know, how the boy knows Mike. After the dialog between the boy and Cathy, she pays him 5 dollars.

Chapter 3:

In the third chapter of “snakeman”, Cathy come back to home. She looked like a zombie with a white skin and confusing thoughts. After that, she doesn’t talk to someone about her problem. Mike, her little brother, asks him how the day was. But Cathy lies him and don’t say Mike about the situation and that she is threatened.

Chapter 4:

In the fourth chapter of the novel, the “Snakeman”, that the name how Cathy he lists, come a few weeks again and take the money. Cathy gives him every time the money. One day, the boy looked to Cathy’s necklace. She became it on her last birthday. He would take that and threatened her again. She gives him the necklace. After that, Jamie phoned and asked her if she would worked in the Student’s newspaper. She sad yes a worked there, because a Journalist is ill there.

Chapter 5:

In the fifth chapter of the novel, the teacher Dr. Callahan will be leave the school after this year. He said that this year is a “special” year. Dr. Callahan ask Cathy, what a kind of type she is. She answers, that she is a outdoor type and she likes sealing. But Cathy don’t trust him. Something is strange she think. After the talk in the class, he think, that she can’t tell him about the “snakeman”.

Chapter 6:

In the sixth chapter, Cathy talk the first time about her problem. She looked at a lot of people that she can trust. The person is Mr. Black. She tells him about the “snakeman” a what he doing exactly. After that, Mr. Black look on the computer a Cathy should describe the person. After the conversation, Cathy was clear, that she can trust Mr. Black.

Chapter 7:

In the seventh chapter of the novel, Cathy talks with her mother about her problem with the boy. She tells Eileen (her mother) that he took her necklace and would her watch, that cost over 100$. Her mother says that she will be buy Cathy a new necklace like this one. Eileenn want to call the police or the office but Cathy don’t want this. She says that she can do that alone and she searched the people who are on their side.

Chapter 8:

In this chapter, Cathy search and find more people there are on her side. She started by her teachers and class mates. In the newspaper, the others say that she can write very good. Cathy have her first meeting with Jamie and she made a lot of new friends. In the meeting, it was a canoe tour, a bad storm come and they fall in the water. The can get to the land and enjoy the animals and the nature there.

Chapter 9:

In the ninth chapter, chapter of the novel, Cathy find out that the Snakeman likes her and want to go on a Harley Davidson tour. He wants that Cathy are his girlfriend. Cathy have a dream, inthere he kiss him. She don’t know what he can do and doesn’t he angry.

Chapter 10:

At the tenth chapter, Cathy has a dream where she makes a motorbike tour with the snakeman. In the dream a Mr. Black and Mr. Callahan but them don’t help her. He want’s to kiss her and he is like a real snake, with a head from a human. Like the cover photo from the book. After that she wakes up and is relieved, that this was a dream.

Chapter 11:

In the eleventh chapter of the novel, Cathy talk with Jamie about the Snakeman and that he likes her. In the last time, she thinks that Mr. Black and Mr. Callahan are on his side. She don’t know how big the gang from the snakeman is, but she know, that this gang are bigger that she can believes.
