Identity Conflicts
Finding your own identity is a progress which is not always that easy. Everyone has or will experience this progress in a different way.
Seperate self
For developing your own identity you need to draw boundaries when it comes to society. Society or people can influence you in many ways which can make the progress of finding your own identity very hard.
Example: Many young people have role models or idols by whom they get influenced easily. Those "role models" are mostly very skinny, pretty and famous. For persons who are very insecure with themselves it can cause depressions or diseases like anorexia (eating disease).
United self
Being a part of something is an important aspect of finding your identity. We need to have friends and family who accept us the way we are.
